What does this cost me?
Nothing. Basement Waterproofing Shakopee is free for homeowners and is paid by the contractors it refers.
Do you do the repair work?
No. We're a referral service. An independent local contractor inspects, quotes and does the work, and your agreement is with them.
How quickly will I get a call?
Usually the same business day. If water is actively coming in, call us instead of sending the form.
Can I verify the contractor's license?
Yes. Ask for their Minnesota license number and proof of insurance, then check the license with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
Is my information shared widely?
No. Your request goes to one contractor who serves your area. Our privacy policy explains more.
Will a cover solve it?
If rain and snow falling into the well are the problem, often yes. If groundwater or runoff fills it from below or the sides, it also needs a drain or regrading.
Can egress windows leak too?
Yes. Large egress wells collect a lot of water. They need a good drain and a cover that still allows escape in an emergency.
How do I tell a hairline crack from a structural one?
Thin vertical cracks that haven't shifted are usually from shrinkage. Horizontal cracks, cracks wider than a coin's edge that keep growing, or walls that lean need a professional look. Our guide explains more.
How often should a sump pump be replaced?
Many last roughly 7 to 10 years, less if they run heavily. Replacing an old pump before it fails is cheaper than cleaning up after.
Where should my pump discharge?
Outside and well away from the foundation, where water drains away. Sending it to the sanitary sewer is generally prohibited.
